Jobber integration: keep Jobber, add BRIX's AI on top

By BRIX Editorial Team · Updated

BRIX connects with Jobber, so you can keep running jobs, quotes and visits in Jobber and add BRIX's AI on top: it answers every call, follows up every lead and open estimate, chases unpaid invoices and keeps expenses, 1099 subcontractors and sales tax organized. Jobber's own AI Receptionist is a $29/month add-on on most plans.

Key takeaways

  • Jobber is a strong field service app. You don't have to leave it to add AI to your phones and back office.
  • Jobber sells its own AI Receptionist: a $29/month add-on, included in the Plus plan (Jobber pricing page, 2026-10-12).
  • Jobber's new QuickBooks Online sync is one way, and Jobber doesn't sync with QuickBooks Desktop.
  • With BRIX on top, decide up front which tool owns invoicing and the QuickBooks connection, so nothing is entered twice.

Can BRIX work with Jobber?

Yes. BRIX connects with Jobber, so you don't have to rip out the app your crew already knows. Jobber keeps doing what it's good at: client records, quotes, scheduling visits, the mobile app your techs use, and invoicing. BRIX adds the AI work around it: answering the phone, following up, chasing money and keeping the books organized. Which records move between the two is set up with you during onboarding, based on how your shop runs.

This page is for owners who like Jobber but are still losing calls, letting estimates go quiet, or spending Sunday nights on paperwork. If you're thinking about replacing Jobber outright, see BRIX vs. Jobber and Jobber alternatives instead.

What does Jobber already include?

Every Jobber plan includes online booking and scheduling, quotes, invoices and online payments. Connect adds automated quote and invoice follow-ups and QuickBooks Online sync; Grow adds job costing, two-way SMS and a custom automation builder; Plus adds Pipeline, Marketing Suite and the AI Receptionist. Plans are priced by tier and team size. Here's what Jobber's pricing page showed on 2026-10-12.

Jobber's AI Receptionist

Jobber's AI Receptionist answers calls and texts 24/7, books visits using your online booking settings, takes requests, texts back callers who hang up, and escalates calls that match keywords you set, such as "burst pipe" or "no heat". Every call and text gets a summary, transcript and recording. It's a $29/month add-on on Core, Connect and Grow, and the Plus plan includes it. Jobber also lists a "Receptionist Companion" as coming soon.

That's a capable product, and if call answering is your only gap, it may be all you need. The question is what happens after the call: who follows up the estimate, who chases the invoice, and who keeps the books ready for your accountant.

To be fair to Jobber: on Connect and above it already automates a lot of follow-up. Where BRIX differs is that it starts at the phone call and ends at tax-ready books, and the workflows are built for you rather than by you. If you're paying for Jobber's AI Receptionist and an outside bookkeeper, and your follow-up rules still need someone to set up and babysit, that's the gap BRIX fills.

How do Jobber, BRIX and QuickBooks fit together?

This is the part to get right. Jobber's new QuickBooks Online integration sends clients, products and services, invoices, payments (including Jobber Payments payouts, tips and refunds) and timesheets from Jobber to QuickBooks. It's one way: Jobber is the source of truth for clients and products, and "Paid" status on invoices no longer syncs back from QuickBooks. Jobber doesn't sync with QuickBooks Desktop at all.

BRIX also syncs customers, invoices and payments with QuickBooks. If both tools send the same invoices into QuickBooks, you get duplicates: doubled revenue and an accounts receivable report nobody trusts. So the rule is simple.

How to set up BRIX with Jobber

  1. 1

    Map your day.

Tell us how calls come in, who books visits in Jobber, how quotes get followed up and who sends invoices. That tells us where BRIX should take over and where Jobber stays in charge.

  2. 2

Pick the owner of each record.

Decide which tool owns clients, quotes, invoices and the QuickBooks connection. Write it down so your office knows too.

  3. 3

Connect Jobber and your phone line.

BRIX connects with Jobber and your other tools, such as Google Calendar, Gmail or Slack. Custom connections are built on request.

  4. 4

    Set the rules.

Approve the call script, follow-up timing, reminder wording and when a call or message should come straight to you.

  5. 5

Run it for a month and measure.

Track missed calls, estimates won and days to payment before and after. Keep what works, adjust what doesn't.

When is Jobber on its own the better choice?

Jobber on its own is a good fit if you're a small crew that rarely misses calls, already follows up quotes reliably, has a bookkeeper you're happy with, and mainly wants scheduling, quoting and invoicing in one tidy app. If your only gap is after-hours calls, Jobber's $29 AI Receptionist add-on is a reasonable first step. Add BRIX when the gap is bigger than the phone: silent estimates, slow payments and books that are always a month behind.

Frequently asked questions

Does BRIX integrate with Jobber?

Yes. BRIX connects with Jobber, so you can keep jobs, quotes and visits in Jobber while BRIX answers calls, follows up leads and estimates, chases invoices and helps with bookkeeping. Which records move between the two is configured with you during setup.

How much is Jobber's AI Receptionist?

Jobber's pricing page listed AI Receptionist as a $29/month add-on, included in the Plus plan, when we checked on 2026-10-12. Plus started at $399/month billed annually for five users. Check Jobber's pricing page for current terms.

Should I use Jobber's AI Receptionist or BRIX?

If you only need calls answered and visits booked, Jobber's add-on is a simple choice. If you want the call connected to everything after it, with follow-up, review requests, bookkeeping help and custom workflows built and set up for you, BRIX covers more of the work after the phone rings.

Does Jobber sync two ways with QuickBooks?

Not in Jobber's new integration. Its help center says the sync is one way from Jobber to QuickBooks Online and that paid status no longer syncs back. Jobber doesn't sync with QuickBooks Desktop. Older accounts on the legacy integration may see different behavior.

Will I get duplicate invoices in QuickBooks if I use Jobber and BRIX?

Only if both tools send the same invoices. Pick one tool to own invoicing and the QuickBooks connection for those records, and we'll set BRIX up to match. That one decision prevents most duplicate customers and invoices.

Do my techs need to learn anything new?

No. Your techs keep using the Jobber app. BRIX works on the phone and back-office side, and owners interact with it mostly by text and phone.

Is there a contract?

BRIX plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract, and your data is always yours to export. Jobber's own plans are billed separately under Jobber's terms.
